March 29th, 2010. The All-Seeing Boy and the Blue Sky of Happiness published by leading Buddhist publisher SnowLion publications.

I’m delighted to announce, that after making my parable for children, The All-Seeing Boy and the Blue Sky of Happiness, available as an e-book, for nearly 3 years, I have successfully negotiated an agreement with Snow Lion Publications in the USA, to publish the book in print, worldwide.  The combina tion of a compelling story, beautiful illustrations, and a solid on-line marketing campaign, which saw over 1000 people read the book, including His Holiness The Dalai Lama, has finally paid off.  The print edition will be available later this year, and then more widely via major bookstores – online and offline – in Spring 2011.  The book will have more illustrations by Serena Sax Hallam, and, will continue to publicise the Tibetan Children Villages foundation, who support Tibetan children refugees in India.  In preparation for the publication of the print edition, I will be removing the e-book from this website at the end of April 2010.  If you would like to remain informed of when the e-book will be available, please sign up to our newsletter in the box in the right hand column.

June 9th 2009. New Myth Create dedicates The All Seeing Boy towards raising awareness of Tibetan Children’s Villages.

The journey in promoting any book as a publisher can be long or short.  Having backed your intuition about a story, it’s difficult to tell when it’s run its course.  Was this e-book destined to have 500 readers or 5 million?  And, how long should we dedicate to making that happen, before we call it a day?  It was through asking these questions that this Spring we decided that to continue our quest to spread the wisdom of Loving Kindness, through The All-Seeing Boy and the Blue Sky of Happiness, that we would have to be bolder in our approach.  So we again sent copies to a list of people who we thought would appreciate it’s message.   This time, we included people to whom we thought would recognise the influence of Tibetan Buddhism, including His Holiness, The Dalai Lama.  Perhaps, with some sense of false humility, we never expected to get a reply – and yet within two weeks we received an email from the office of His Holiness to say how much He had enjoyed the story.  His office also encouraged us to put the book in service of raising awareness of the Tibetan Children’s Villages foundation, who are dedicated to meeting the critical educational needs of Tibetan children refugees.

Now this was humbling.  Not just to recieve the praise and gratitude of His Holiness, for whom we both have immense respect, but to realise how incongruent it was to have a book about Loving Kindness, which wasn’t itself fully dedicated to that cause.  Having witnessed and experienced the great cultural and spiritual gifts the Tibetan diaspora has shared with the world, it seems only right that we should find ways of giving something back.  This is our hope for The All Seeing Boy and the Blue Sky of Happiness. September 3rd, 2008 The All-Seeing Boy and the Blue Sky of Happiness German Translation published.

Since publishing The All Seeing Boy and the Blue Sky of Happiness last year we have had over 350 downloads, and further reports of the e-Book being forwarded to some 200 further people. Not only are we amazed at this response, but also the reader comments which have been pouring in from both young and old, and including, from established authors William Bloom, Susie Anthony, and Carl Honore. By chance one of my readers, Claudia von Januszkiewicz, also turned out to be a professional German translator, having successfully translated a number of ‘peace troubadour’ James Twyman’s books. She kindly offered to enter into a joint venture with New Myth Create, to translate the book, as Der Alles-Sehende Junge und der Blaue Himmel des Gluecklichseins, and after a number of successful test readings this summer, we have finally published it as an e-Book, which, just like the English version will be made available as a free download on this website.
